This page explains how your information is handled during account deletion, the legal retention requirements under Nigerian financial laws, and the exact steps to delete your account inside the mobile app or via our web portal.
How to Delete Your Account on the Tharwa EV Mobile App
Step-by-step walkthrough for Android and iOS users directly inside the application.
Open Mobile App & Go to Profile
Launch the Tharwa EV app on your iOS or Android device and tap the Profile icon in the bottom navigation bar.
Navigate to Security Settings
Tap Settings & Preferences, then select Security & Privacy from the menu options.
Tap "Delete Account"
Scroll to the bottom of the Security screen and tap the red Delete Account option.
Resolve Pre-Conditions
The app validates that your wallet balance is ₦0.00 and no active charging sessions are currently running.
Select Reason & Confirm
Select why you are closing your account, review the irreversible deletion warning, and confirm deletion.
Important Pre-conditions Before Deleting:
• Wallet Balance Guard: Your wallet balance must be zero (₦0.00). Active funds cannot be abandoned.
• Session Guard: You cannot delete your account while an active EV charging session is connected.

Active JWT tokens are revoked instantly. All saved cards on Paystack are de-authorized immediately upon submission.
Personal credentials, vehicle identifiers, and preferences are irreversibly wiped from active databases within 14 business days.
Once the deletion request is finalized, the account cannot be recovered or restored. A new account must be created.
